AI Consultants in North Yorkshire: Who They Are and How They Differ

Read this first

This is a list, not a ranking. Nobody here is scored and nobody is called the best. We have not used any of these firms. Everything said about them comes from their own websites, which we read on 10 October 2026. Sites change, so check each one yourself.

NorthYorkshire.co is published by Dean Keating, who is one of the seven. He is listed last, labelled, and is not based in the county.

Firms that say they are based here come first, in alphabetical order.

Based in the county

Birdcage Tech. birdcagetech.com gives a registered office at Forest Business Park, York, YO19 4RH. It says it works across Yorkshire and the UK, in person or remotely. It lists bespoke software, business process automation, AI integration and system integration. That includes chatbots and voice agents. It names property teams, hospitality operators, healthcare admin teams, training providers and local service businesses as the people it serves. It suggests starting with one workflow, and says the first conversation and a walkthrough of your process cost nothing. We found no prices. Phone 01904 215514.

Eightlegged. eightlegged.com gives its location as Scarborough and says it serves small businesses across the county and beyond. Its AI work is plain jobs: handling routine enquiries, drafting, sorting data and automating admin. It prints one price, an Inbox Triage email product from £49 a month, and says the rest "depends on the job". You start through its contact form or on 01723 384531.

Gareth Shaw. garethshaw.uk says it is based in Harrogate and gives an address at Cardale Park. It describes itself as aimed at Yorkshire business owners, and some of its pages speak mainly to Leeds and West Yorkshire. It lists AI strategy, workflow automation, bespoke development, chatbots and voice agents, and training. It prints one price: rapid AI builds from £2.5k, fixed price. It says there is no retainer. You can start with a free AI audit, an eight-question form that it says takes three minutes, or by email or WhatsApp.

Kariba. kariba.co.uk is a digital agency with an address at Hornbeam Park, Harrogate. Its AI products are an AI Employee that answers calls, smart websites with booking chatbots, lead automation with a CRM, and website and WhatsApp chatbots. It names plumbers, accountants, beauty salons, security firms, solicitors and builders. It prints monthly prices with set-up fees, from £95 a month with a £295 set-up to £295 a month with a £495 set-up, all excluding VAT. You start by booking a free demo and discovery call.

Velyntic. velyntic.com says it is based in Catterick and run by its founder, Michael Goggs. It says it works in person around Richmond, Darlington and Northallerton, and remotely across the UK. It sells websites, AI systems, and AI policy and team training, mainly to firms with ten or more staff. It prints prices, including a paid assessment at a fixed £2,000, AI systems at £4,000 to £28,000 and team training at a fixed £2,500. You can start with its free online check.

Covering the county from elsewhere

AI Coach (Kasra Dash). bestaiconsultant.co.uk has a page for this county. Its site does not state where the business is based. It says it works with leadership teams across Yorkshire and the Humber, remotely and on site. It lists AI strategy, workflow automation, training and workshops, and custom AI tools. Most sessions run over video, with half-day or full-day workshops in the county for teams that want them in person. You start with a free 30-minute call. We found no prices on the page we read.

Dean Keating (the publisher of this site). Dean Keating is based in Horndean, Hampshire, and has no office in the county. He works with local businesses remotely. His website says he builds AI agents, installs them in the tools you already use, trains your team and supports it. It says the free first call ends with a plan you can use with or without him. There is no published price list; the cost is given after that call. Call or WhatsApp 07418 627304.

How they differ

• Where they are. Four of the five local firms are in or near York, Harrogate and Scarborough. One is up in Catterick. We found no firm in Skipton, Ripon or Whitby that states an AI consulting base.
• Advice, building or training. Gareth Shaw, Velyntic and AI Coach list training. Birdcage Tech, Kariba and Dean Keating are mostly about building something that runs.
• Software or advice first. Birdcage Tech and Kariba lean towards software and products. Others begin with an audit or a call.
• Prices. Four print some figures, from £49 a month up to £28,000. Birdcage Tech, AI Coach and Dean Keating do not.

How to use this list

Choose two or three whose description fits your size and the job you want done. Ask each the same questions: what will exist at the end, which of your tools it lives in, and what happens when it is unsure. Our guide for estate agents choosing a consultant goes through them. Most of the work can be done by video, so a firm in York can serve a farm shop near Thirsk, and so can one further away.

What we could not check

We have not seen any firm's work, spoken to its clients or verified what its website says. Some sites describe services for other parts of Yorkshire, and we have only reported what they say about their own base. If you run an AI consulting firm based here and are not listed, email dean@deankeating.com and we will read your website and add you on the same terms.

A comparison table follows at the foot of this page.
